“ The menudo is better than the original place. Truly clean and well served! The breakfast barbacoa a la mexicana is a must. I have never ordered the Tex-mex items on the menu because I don't come here for them. I do feel the menu is uninspired and pretty typical when it comes to non traditional Mexican food. I think a host and a more organized staff could provide a seamless level of service that is still home town. The menu could shrink and their focus narrowed would punch up the food and they could even add trendy it gimmicky good that people like to post online like those quesabirria, massive burrito, crazy nacho or whatever bullshit is on tik Tok these days to keep the Internet trolls on here happy. Come here, try the Mexican food and treat the staff with respect *spoiler* you will have a good meal and time. ”
“ This place is absolutely amazing! The food tastes so authentic and you get that homemade feel with every bite. When we arrived we sat down and were greeted right away. You would think we would be waiting for a while with how packed it was but with a family of 5 we were able to get our food in no time. The food, the service, and the prices were top 10 all the way around! I am so thankful this place has arrived in the Deer Park area. I would highly recommend this place for family meals!!! ”
“ I have been a customer for decades at the old Pasadena location , so sad they closed . But very excited when I found out they were opening again in Deer Park. Same great staff, fresh food and friendly service. Wide variety of menu items for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Everything just has that old family recipe flavor. After 2 months with no migas my daughter said it’s like going back to grandmas house . The new place is great , a lot bigger and very colorful. Parking lot is definitely bigger. Glad to have our weekend breakfast back !! So happy for this family , continuing the long time tradition, just in a new location . ”

Sadly, the old restaurant closed following the owner's passing, prompting a relocation to Deer Park. In the last six months, we have been periodically driving by to check if they had reopened. A recent Google search revealed the new location. I am pleased to say that this restaurant remains my favorite. The staff is outstanding, and their warmth makes us feel like family. We have had the pleasure of watching the owner's grandchildren mature and now successfully manage the restaurant, a source of pride for their grandfather. God bless them in their new location. ”

“ Went in today for lunch. Had the Blanca special, only 11.99. 2 cheese enchiladas, crispy taco, bean tostada, guacamole, with rice and beans! Everything was delicious. The table sauce is unique with a subtle spice. Lupita is a great server, glad I got her section. Definitely will return! ”
